Louise Watt

On Purpose Associate

Louise Watt is an On Purpose Associate at Edelgive with SIX, furthering the organisation’s mission to spur connections across continents, and bring innovative solutions from the Global South to the North. 

She previously worked as a journalist, communications strategist, and co-curator and director of a human rights film festival. 

As a newspaper, digital and TV journalist, she reported on geopolitics, diplomacy, human rights and the environment from countries as diverse as China, the United States and Tuvalu. 

She was the Global PR Manager for IQAir AirVisual, using its data to raise awareness of air pollution, particularly in South East Asia. 

In the impact space, Louise managed an international human rights film festival, organising its first-ever edition in Taiwan; and founded and led a project promoting gender equality in Chinese-language film. 

She is passionate about women’s and girls’ rights, addressing inequalities within global health, and helping social innovators to scale through innovative models of financing.
