Technology x
Society

Innovations are never just technical—they shape how we live, work, and relate to one another.

Key questions

  • How can we ensure that innovations are relevant, effective, and truly benefit people and communities?
  • Who are the users and stakeholders? Who gets affected by technological innovations?
  • How can stakeholders and citizens be involved in the design, development, and implementation of the innovation?

Our work in tech x society

CORE12.01

CORE12.01 is an EU funded project which aims to increase the entrepreneurial capacity of European researchers working on deeptech, climate-focused solutions. The CORE12.01 fellowship programme will support 30 fellows to be more entrepreneurial, more connected, and more capable of responding to the urgent challenges of the climate crisis through innovation.

The CORE12.01 project aims to help deep tech solutions make a real-world impact. We provide hands-on support, connections to the right partners, practical tools to accelerate progress, and access to funding. Our work tackles some of the biggest challenges in Europe’s climate innovation landscape—bringing together fragmented stakeholders, opening up commercialisation pathways, and helping academic researchers become market-ready entrepreneurs.

SIX’s role in the project is to bring societal and ecosystem perspectives to deep tech innovation.

This is more than just an opportunity to learn; it’s a chance to connect with peers, gain mentorship from experts, and develop the skills you need to drive real world change.
