Asia Lead

As Asia Lead, Marco’s immersion in the region allows him to make sense of the ecosystem and build Asia’s social innovation narrative. He works on SIX’s global initiative building social innovation skills and capacities in people and organisations.

Prior to that, Marco led the communication and network coordination work for Social Innovation Community (SIC) – a European-wide project to strengthen, connect and grow existing social innovation communities. He was also a researcher for the Business for Good project at SIX.

Marco is a seasoned trainer and advocate with a demonstrated history of experiences in the Social Innovation & Entrepreneurship and not-for-profit organisation management industry. He is passionate about cross sector collaboration and believes in collective effort to build a better society for humankind.

Marco holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration at Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore. He is currently a Board Member of Beyond Vision International.

The Social Innovation Community (SIC)

SIX helped the European Union run its first pilot programme dedicated to social innovation. It ran for 5 years under the SIE name - Social Innovation Europe. It’s main role was to inspire through knowledge and experience dissemination. When the project ended, the European Commission unlocked €3 million to launch a new project with a far greater ambition.
