10 years after the creation of SIX, and almost four years as an independent body, SIX is undergoing a new strategy process. This comes at a pivotal time. This week, SIX will host the global Wayfinder event where 150 global social innovation leaders will come together to map the way forward for the next 10 years of social innovation.
As part of this strategy process, we asked the 16,000+ social innovators around the world that form the SIX community. In January we circulated an anonymous online survey, aimed to capture the voice of SIX community and their interest in the role SIX should play in the future. Thank you to all who took part.
1. Understanding the Sample
SIX is a global network and this survey reflected our diversity. We had insights from every region and from a broad range of sectors and types of organisations.
*The sample represents less than 5% of SIX network.

2. How has SIX performed so far?
We tested our work to date and we are proud to say that the SIX community rated all our activities from Good to Excellent.

3. What should SIX focus on in the future?
SIX is in the midst of exciting changes, and significant work has been done both internally and externally, including the recruitment of new Board Members and a new Chairman. The results reflected that we should continue our current focus areas as well explore new ones for the organisation.

4. What the community said
We offered a comment box for respondents to share with us any thoughts and here are three of our favourite quotes:

What’s next?
We are taking this feedback to our Executive Board, as well as asking our Global Council for further inputs. We’ll also be gathering the learning and the outputs from the Wayfinder, with a view to making sure the future direction of SIX supports the needs of the global social innovation field. We will be sharing all of this in the coming months, so stay tuned.
Thanks once again for sharing your opinions!
