Northampton University have achieved Ashoka Changemaker Campus status. As part of their accreditation, their students must host and deliver a 2 day event for students from Changemaker Campuses globally.
Northampton University Students Union must design and deliver an engaging 2 day programme showcasing examples of local social innovation. This must allow other students globally to understand what social innovation means in Northampton, and inspire them to work on their own innovation projects leveraging insights from the programme. Students of Northampton didn’t know where to start.
SIX worked with the students to support them in learning how to design and deliver an international conference. SIX’s team supported the students on their own learning journey, running workshops to teach students how to design an agenda and deliver an engaging event, including facilitation techniques. SIX then co-facilitated the event with the Northampton students, and ran a social innovation studio/workshop taking the global participants through the basics of the innovation process.
Scale & Size:
This 3 month collaboration led to 4 design workshops with a team of 10 Northampton University students. Event was delivered for 50 students from Ashoka Changemaker Campuses around the world.
