Join the team! SIX is hiring a design & communications intern

The SIX team is looking for an energetic and effective person with design skills, who enjoys working in a socially driven and growing organisation. If you are looking for a 3-6 months London (UK) based position in an international non-profit, we would love to hear from you.

The role

SIX is seeking a design and communication intern to work directly with a senior team member to help design and communicate SIX’s programmes and projects to our global network and beyond and share stories and knowledge of the SIX community

What we're looking for

We are seeking someone who is passionate about finding better ways to communicate and illustrate our work through:

·Strong design skills (educated to degree level with a background in graphic or communication, Service Design)

·Strong knowledge of the Adobe Design Suite (InDesign, Photoshop especially)

·User focused design experience (or innovation management)

·Strong community management and social media skills

·An ability to display complex information in an easy way (using infographics etc)

·An ability to write in an engaging style

·Experience of working and managing websites

·Strong communication skills

·A willingness and ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders (from different sectors and countries)

It is also important that the candidate:

·Is confident, self-motivated, pays great attention to detail, and can work flexibly in a fast-moving environment with multiple deadlines to meet and a changing workload

·Is highly organised

·Is passionate about innovation as a vehicle to people living better lives

·Has a keen interest and belief in the power of networks and communities of practice

·Has knowledge of another European language (non-compulsory)

Working time

We are seeking an intern to work between 2 - 4 days a week.
