Creating inclusive communities – The role of placemaking & technology – Re:Think Series #2

SIX and Leping Social Entrepreneur Foundation are hosting a special session as part of our Re: Think Series, which aims to bring together leading social innovation actors from business, cities, technology sectors to rethink what different sectors can learn from each other and do together to address the world’s pressing social challenges.

The second event of the series will bring together practitioners from London and Beijing to share their experiences on creating inclusive places, through participatory placemaking practices and using technology. The session will explore the themes of urban governance, community participation and the role of technology in reimagining places. We will invite two leaders from China and the UK to engage in a dialogue:

– Haokun FU (UrbanXYZ)
– Nicola BACON (Social Life)

The dialogue will explore the different approach in engaging citizens and how the human-technology relationship will be shaped in the community design process. The dialogue will be followed by open discussion and Q&A. There will be simultaneous interpretation (English/Chinese) for this session.

This is an invitation only eventIf you’d like to join us, please send us an email at sojung.rim@socialinnovationexchange.org and we will send you a calendar invite and zoom link.
