Alongside a small consulting team in Hong Kong, we conducted a study in 2018 to understand the motivations for business to do good and proposed recommendations on what different stakeholders could do to promote ‘doing good by doing well’. The research is funded by the Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Fund (SIE Fund).
Two years on, the ESG and business for good movement has gradually gained some momentum in the Hong Kong business community. We are now updating the study to focus more on the ‘how’ businesses are changing their practices, and how companies can seize the post-pandemic opportunities by creating value with different stakeholders in society.
Our partners in Hong Kong include Hong Kong Social Entrepreneurship Forum (HKSEF) and InnoFoco.
