I would like to develop the notion of intermediaries between funding sources and municipalities, in other countries such as Greece.
What was your first encounter with SIX?
SIX Wayfinder in 2017
What has been your most memorable event or encounter with SIX?
SIX Wayfinder 2017
Who has been a memorable connection you've made through SIX?
Gabriella Gomez-Mont, an active politician in the city of Mexico, who gathered and re-activated grass-roots activities. I met her again in Athens in June 2017 and we kept contact for a while making dreams together.
Geoff Mulgan, always a source of inspiration.
How has SIX influenced or changed the way you think about/do your work?
Basically I have used SIX as an online reference platform, to find ideas, such as ones for integration of refugees, but also about policy positioning in local government.
How do you think the influence of SIX has helped shape social innovation in your city/region/country?
Yes it has, but in an indirect way. The SIX network became a reference and a form of support for those of us in the municipality of Athens that grew interested in social innovation.
What is something you would like to work on with SIX in the future?
At the moment I would like to see how European funding can support social innovation projects around Europe. I would like to develop the notion of intermediaries between funding sources and municipalities, in other countries such as Greece. There is a tremendous lack of help when it comes to implementing SI projects, and a lack of wanting to update the public sector in this line.
