Inequality corrodes people’s lives, but it doesn’t have to. The Young Foundation believe that through our shared humanity we have the power to shape the societies and communities we want to live in.
The Young Foundation confront inequality by working with people to create the changes that will lead to more equal and resilient communities.
They find new ways of tackling social problems by working alongside communities, using the tools of research and social innovation. They run a range of national and international programmes to achieve this.
They bring together leading thinkers and policymakers from around the world to develop new ideas.
They also work in partnership with organisations, leading thinkers and policymakers who share our values, to tackle society’s biggest challenges. They are proud to be part of alliances campaigning for the social economy and for equality, including the Social Economy Alliance and The Equality Trust.
They have created and supported over 80 organisations including: Which? The Open University, Language Line, Social Innovation Exchange, School for Social Entrepreneurs, Uprising and Action for Happiness.
