Gulbenkian Foundation

The Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, or Gulbenkian Foundation, is a Portuguese private foundation of public utility whose statutory aims are in the fields of arts, charity, education, and science.

The Gulbenkian Foundation funded SIX's spin out from the Young Foundation in 2013. The foundation also supported the 2009 SIX Summer School in Lisbon as well as the SI Live event in 2014.

They also worked with SIX to develop the concept of the Unusual Suspects Festival, and funded the first festival in London in 2014

The Director of the UK branch of the Gulbenkian Foundation, Andrew Barnett, sat on SIX's executive board from 2013-2017.
