Description: Anton Shelupanov is the Senior Research Associate for Criminal Justice at the Young Foundation. He has over 8 years experience of work in the field of justice and security sector reform. Before joining the Young Foundation he worked at the International Centre for Prison Studies at King's College, London, where he lead the Centre's work on Prison Healthcare and managed a number of high profile projects in Europe and Asia. He has been an adviser and consultant to a number of governments and organisations including the Council of Europe, the World Health Organisation and the United Nations Office for Drugs and Crime. His previous areas of work include prison and public health, prison management, the rights of persons in detention and security sector reform. He currently sits on the World Health Organisation's Prisons and Health Steering Group and the UK TB Implementation Taskforce and is the Vice Chair of Homes for Haringey, an organisation managing 20,000+ units of social housing in North London.
